Bennachie and the Wolf. Presentation and discussion with Henry Coombes, Tuesday 24th September.

Come along to our next event! Henry Coombes – currently in residence at Scottish Sculpture Workshop – will discuss themes he is exploring through the production of his new work at a presentation event at the Bennachie Centre (Chapel of Garioch, Inverurie), Tuesday 24 September at 6pm.

Coombes is currently producing a new film as part of the commissed work for the Year of Natural Scotland project Natural Bennachie. Beginning in June, Coombes has been creating a series of ink paintings that respond to the ever-changing pallet of surrounding natural environment. “The images produced have inspired the art direction and narrative for a new film based on my emotional response to Bennachie’s landscape and rich history”, says Coombes.

Coombes will be giving a brief introduction and presentation of his project, followed by questions and further discussion on related topics. This event is open to all and refreshments are provided. This event provides an opportunity to gain an inside-look at film production, modes and methods of practice, and to hear more regarding the motivations behind the Natural Bennachie project.
