Artist Kevin Reid has been busy creating bronze plaques with soldiers and youth groups as part of a project with National Galleries Scotland, the last of which were poured yesterday with help from Senior Technician Eden Jolly and Technical Placement Benjamin Burtenshaw.
Artist-in-residence Emma Herman-Smith has also been working on bronze casts over the past few weeks which were also poured yesterday evening. The casts make up a sign post and wooden knots, a replica of a sign post on the Isle of Mull, where the artist has been undertaking a separate year-long residency. The pieces are soon to be installed, concluding Herman-Smith’s residency on the island.
