Scottish Sculpture Workshop will be participating in this year’s NEOS 2012 Exhibition at VSA’s Easter Anguston Farm, from the 15th – 23rd September.
For the first time, Scottish Sculpture Workshop (SSW) will be participating in the VSA’s Easter Anguston Farm North East Open Studios (NEOS) Exhibition this September. SSW will also be hosting an open workshop on site in metal casting for anyone who wants to come along and join in.
Visitors will get the chance to explore Easter Anguston while viewing the outdoor art trail, a large-scale exhibition housed throughout the farm grounds. Work made by SSW artists, along with work by past artists-in-residence and SSW founder Fred Bushe, will be on display in one of the temporary gallery spaces. There will also be several pieces from this year’s USUK: International Cast Iron Symposium, held at SSW this July.
As well as exploring the farm and seeing all the work on display, you can try your hand at Cuttlefish Casting. Artist Ginny Hutchison will be on hand on Saturday the 22nd ofSeptember to guide participants through the processes used to create unique cast metal pieces, which can fit in the palm of your hand.
